Vaultic Privacy Policy

Summary

Vaultic does not create user accounts and does not operate application servers. The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs. Vaultic does not collect personal data or transmit vault content to the developer.

Photos, videos, and metadata

Photos and videos you select are imported and encrypted on your device. Vault items, thumbnails, album names, and related metadata remain on the device. Vaultic does not upload them to the developer or a Vaultic cloud service.

Authentication and encryption

Your PIN, Face ID authentication state, encryption keys, and backup passwords are processed locally. Keys are protected using Apple security technologies, including the Secure Enclave. Vaultic cannot recover a forgotten PIN or backup password and cannot decrypt your vault.

Break-in alerts

If you enable break-in alerts and grant camera permission, Vaultic may capture a front-camera image after a failed PIN attempt. The image is encrypted and retained on your device. It is not transmitted to the developer. Without camera permission, an event may be recorded without a photo.

Backups and exports

Vaultic can create a password-protected .vaultic backup at your request. Apple's system share sheet lets you choose where that file goes. Vaultic does not select, control, or receive the destination. Any third-party destination you choose is governed by that provider's privacy terms.

Subscriptions

Purchases use Apple StoreKit. Apple processes transactions and may provide the app with subscription entitlement information needed to unlock Premium features. Vaultic does not receive your payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Data collection and tracking

Vaultic does not collect contact information, health data, financial information, location, contacts, user content, browsing or search history, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, surroundings, body data, sensitive information, or other personal data. Vaultic does not track you across apps or websites.

Children

Vaultic does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else because the app does not collect personal information from users.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will appear on this page.

Questions about this policy: help@tryvaultic.com. Because Vaultic holds no account or server-side data, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on your behalf — uninstalling the app removes your vault from the device.
